ALPINE ILX-700
The ILX-700 is an Alpine Electronics in-dash digital receiver that works with Apple CarPlay that was made available to the Market in 2014. The ILX-700 is an aftermarket receiver that is solely committed to making Apple CarPlay compatible with the head unit. The primary objective of the ILX-700 is to improve and enhance driver’s experience while providing them a safer, smarter and fun ways to interact with their vehicle. The ILX-700 driver-less receiver is equipped with a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen that has been designed for use with CarPlay to provide a flawless integration of your iPhone experience in the car. Accessing Apple CarPlay on Alpine’s Ilx-700 gives users the ability to control Apple CarPlay from a 7-inch screen or to activate Siri for minimized distraction. Driving directions, and phone calls are relayed through the cars’ speaker. Apple CarPlay is connected to devices via the use of a Lightning connector that is compatible with iPhone 5 or later models such as iPhone 6, iPhone 6 plus, and the most recent iOS version.
Other key features of the iLX-700 include a 3 (2) Pre-outs, one A/V input, an input for a rear view camera system (without camera), Alpine’s MediaXpander technology for improved playback of compressed media. Alpine iLx-700 is also compatible with the Alpine Tunelt 2.0 App, a free app that helps you customize sound tuning for Alpine audio systems. With the Alpine Tunelt 2.0 app, you can adjust the range of sound settings from parametric EQ, time correction, crossover points, preset EQ modes and more. You can make the settings through the app and then upload it to the iLX-700 for precise sound customization and immediate result.

- Ilx-700 allows you to control all the music search options directly from your iPhone device. You can search playlists, songs, albums, artists and more by merely scrolling or through alphabetical search. Using Siri, you can play music via voice command, and the USB connection ensures a super fast access and high-quality sound.
- Alpine iLX-700 allows you to make calls, receive calls, return missed calls and listen to voicemails while keeping your eyes on the road. Getting contacts, favorite, recent call lists, and an easy to use call screen are all made available to you.
- Alpine iLX-700 allows you to receive and send text messages and even shows you how many messages you have. You can use Siri, via voice command to send and to reply text messages and even read them out to you.
- Alpine iLX-700 brings the power and simplicity of Apple Maps to your vehicle’s dashboard. Apple CarPlay can predict your destination by using a combination of some information.
