What is Google Cloud Platform?

Google Cloud Platform which is most commonly known as the GCP, is a web service offered by Google.

The Google Cloud Platform was launched on April 7, 2008, and it is written in Java, C++, Python, Go, and Ruby. The infrastructure of the Google Cloud Platform is similar to the other Google products such as Google Search, Gmail, and YouTube.

The Google Cloud Platform provides you with a set of management tools along with a series of modular cloud services. Some of these modular cloud services include machine learning, data analytics, data storage, and computing. This platform provides you with serverless computing environments, platforms as a service, and infrastructure as a service.

The steps you need to follow for you to sell on Google Cloud Platform are similar to that of the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Marketplace. There are four steps which you need to follow for you to sell on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP):

  1. Project creation

  2. Service account

  3. Create a solution

  4. Submit solution

For the first step, you need to create a project for your current Google Cloud Marketplace solutions. You can also reuse the previous projects if you want to skip creating the service account. But if you are a first-timer then you need to create a project for you to follow the other steps.

  1. Service account

After you have created a project, to integrate your solution with the Google Cloud you must create a service account in your project which you are using for the solution.

This service account helps you to interact with the Partner APIs and get all the information regarding the users’ purchases. This service account is really important for you if you want to sell on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

  1. Create a solution

Then you need to create a solution for your project. To create a solution, you need to name your solution, check the solution ID, Manage the services, select the billing process, etc.

then your solution will be created. Check all the details regarding the solution before submitting it. Security and documentation details should be cleared and should be in order for the submission.

  1. Submit solution

Once your solution is created, you need to submit your software solution with the Google Cloud Platform. Their team will check the solution for any problems.

Once the team at Google Cloud Platform approves your solution. Then you can start selling your software solution on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
